Restaurants are about more than food – the dining experience is an investment in good taste beyond flavour. The owners of Simply Thai at The Watermark decided on a complete refurbishment, integral to the branding and the ethos of the new restaurant. The approach of clean lines and contemporary style was tastefully simple.
Tunbridge Wells-based professional interior designer Celia James came up with a colour palette inspired by the restaurant’s iconic orchid. Attention has been paid to every detail: menu covers and upholstery the same shade as the accent wall colour, complemented by oak, chrome and glass fixtures and fittings.
Andy Small photography continues the theme of darkest purple and deep pink. The design flavour is clearly Thai but without the cliché. The overall look is contemporary yet classic.
